Season 5 Of Criss Angel Mind Freak On Dish

On the fifth season premiere of the A&E original series "Criss Angel Mindfreak", Angel once again proves that he is not as normal as the rest of us.During each one-hour episode, Angel will attempt five death-defying demonstrations. Season five will premiere with "White Death," in which he will be shackled and placed in a transparent coffin that is buried in ice and snow.

Audiences will watch in anticipation to see if he will succumb to hypothermia, suffocation, or the risk of the ground collapsing on top of him. Before he attempts this feat, he will take to the streets for his usual mind-boggling tricks and demonstrations. Over the years, Angel has received numerous awards for his work including being the first-ever five-time recipient for the coveted Magician of the Year Award and the recent honor of being named "Magician of the Decade" by the International Magicians Society.

He also created, executive-produced, and designed the Cirque Du Soleil show "Criss Angel Believe." The other four daring demonstrations Angel will perform this season are as follows: "Terminal Velocity" - Criss attempts to teleport himself twice! He will drop an object from more than 250 feet above the Las Vegas strip and reach the bottom in time to catch it in one continuous camera shot. And in front of hundreds of spectators he attempts to vanish in mid-air and reappear in an impossible location.

"Death Crash" - Criss will hide in one of five coffins and the spectators, unaware of which coffin he has chosen, will send a merciless driver to smash the coffins into splinters. "Death Field" - Criss is challenged to safely traverse a field of live explosives in less than five minutes where the risk for serious injury or death is extremely high. "Mass Levitation" - Criss takes levitation to new heights by levitating an entire Las Vegas crowd whose safety he is responsible for.
